רצה יעקב אבינו לגלות את הקץ ונסתלקה ממנו השכינה... מה משמעות העינין? מדוע רצה לגלותו? כיוון שהגאולה עדיין לא הגיע יותר מ3500 שנה לאחר ימיו של יעקב מה יכלה להיות משמעות רצונו של יעקב אבינו לגלות לנו שהגאולה תגיע כאבור אלפי שנים? ע"פ הזהר גאולת מצרים הייתה אמורה להיות הגאולה הסופית. תביאמו ותיטענו בהר נחלתך... אלמלא חטא העגל וחטא המרגלים ... אחרי מתן תורה נכנסים לארץ ומתקיימת הגאולה הסופית... ויעקב רצה להזהיר את בניו לשמור מצוות ולא לחטא ע"מ לאפשר את הגאולה. אם כך למה עצר הקב"ה בעדו? ועל כך הדיון שלפנינו...
